Windy Acres Farm
444 Elk Creek Road
Lincoln University, PA 19352

Windy Acres is doing a Winter CSA that has included 4 to 5 items of green house crops and cold hardy crops, such as greens , salad mix, and root crops. All crops are pesticide free.

The CSA began November 9, 2007 and will run until April 26, 2008. We will take the month of February off. So that's a total of 5 months or 21 weeks.

Cost is $9 a week plus an $11 reservation fee for a total of $200 to be paid at time of application, no later than October 20, 2007.

This is a limited amount of shares - just 20 - so the first 20 applications/checks received will be included in the winter CSA this year.

Please make check payable to Abram Stoltzfus.

Pickup will be on Friday of each week, from 12 to 6pm. Please include your email address, if you have one, on the application so you can receive any news from the farm, especially in the case of inclement weather.

Eggs will be available at time of pickup for an additional fee. Download the application to see the proposed availablility of each item. The CSA may include the following:

  • Lettuce
  • Salad Mix (arugula, baby red mustard, beet greens, swiss chard, baby lettuce, and/or pea shoots
  • Beets
  • Carrots
  • Radishes
  • Turnips
  • Brussels Sprouts
  • Cauliflower
  • Broccoli
  • Chinese Cabbage
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Bok Choy
  • Strawberries
  • Parsnips
  • Spinach
  • Fresh Herbs

Directions:

From Route 1 and points north: Take the exit for Rt. 896 and go south across Old Baltimore Pike. Intersect with Rt. 796 at Penn London School and about ½ mile later look on your right for Oxford Road. Take a right onto Oxford Road and after a couple miles or so look on your left for Elk Creek Road. Take Elk Creek until you see a mailbox #444 on a burgundy mailbox on your right. Take the driveway, which looks more like a road up between the houses and you’ve arrived at Windy Acres Farm. This road is just past a road called "My Way", also on the right.

From Newark and points south: Take Rt. 896 North through New London, PA and the State Road intersection. About 1/2 mile up on the right is Oxford Road. Take a left and follow the directions above.
